Are you willing to pay 120 euros to have this menu? Without drinks.

Good Morning from Berlin,

What are you spending an outrageous amount of money on? More than your budget actually allows?

Admit it, you have such a weakness, too. Most people have.

For me, it's eating out.

Relaxation, good company, delicious food, and a bit of alcohol are essential to my well-being.

Sometimes I spend a lot of money on it. For example, here, yesterday. I know no better place to eat in Berlin. It was way over my budget. It was worth every euro.

I suspect some people won’t approve my spending. They might argue that I should spend the money on more sensible things. Or save the money for tough times.

But isn't it wonderful to live in a society where you're allowed to be unreasonable? Where something is not forbidden although people judge it as unreasonable, but where in the end, everyone has to bear the consequences of their behaviour themselves (in my case, an empty bank account)? I love such a society. It takes people's individuality into account.

Strolling greetings,

Johannes Eber
