Good Morning from Berlin,
Do you want to know why I call this blog „Strolling Economist“?
It is mainly because it reflects the two most passions I have. Walking (sometimes while taking pictures) and trying to understand how people live, love, hate, interact in the world.
I do the latter with economic thinking and the former with my feet.
But the thing is, the two passions are intertwined. Walking activates and animates ideas.
The writer and actor Andrew McCarthy has written an excellent text for the New York Times about walking (he is also the author of the upcoming book “Walking With Sam: A Father, a Son, and Five Hundred Miles Across Spain”).„Walking,“ McCarthy says, „is among the most valuable things I can do.“ I agree. Feel free (no paywall :-) to read what he has experienced.
Strolling greetings,
Johannes Eber
